Chapter One-

It was a warm summer evening.
I sat on my bed listening to my iPod as loud as i possibly could, but it still did not dround out the sound of my parents fighting.
I look around my room and at the pictures hanging on my walls,
The first one i see is our family portrait, And the fake smiles plastered on my parents faces.
I see my sister trying so hard not to look Scared.
I'm the only one who is not 'trying.'

I turned my attention to the picture of my Brother & I.

My Father Beat him to death.
Though, we have no proof..
But i know he did it.
It was a cold winter night, Matt was crying real bad for some reason.
Dad couldn't handle it.
he took him and threw him in the car, Mom and i tried to stop him he just pushed us to the ground and got in the car.
when i woke up dad was home..and matt was not.

Suddenly I heard a loud crash, like the sound of shattering glass.
I get up and run out into the hallway,I look over the stairrail and see my mom laying on the floor, bleeding. My Sister, Morgan, sitting on her knees next to her crying.
I looked around for my father, i couldn't see him anywhere.
'Chase!' I hear Morgan call to me in a frantic voice.
I ran down the stairs and over to to them as quickly as i could.
'What did he do this time?!' I asked falling to me knees.
I asked knowing my father had done this.
I looked at Morgan, then down at my mother.
I wiped the blood off her face. 'He Beat her..Again..she fell and hit her head on the vase...' Morgan could barley speak, Her body shook.
I looked and saw i was sitting in a pile of glass, i didn't even feel the pain.
I was used to all of this happening.
I shook my mom trying to wake her, she finally came around.
She looked around and had finally remembered what happened, She stared crying and went up to her room, leaving a blood trail up the stairs.
Morgan and I sat there for awhile, We didn't know what to do..Or if dad was ever gonna come back.
We just didn't know.
We sat there till 10:30pm.
Then I remember seeing dad burst through the door, Morgan screamed and fell to her knees, still crying with bloodshot eyes.

He kicked her down and yelled 'Shut up, or i'll give you a real reason to cry!'
And then kicked her again.
I stood up and tried to punch him and pull him off of her, but he grabbed a fist full of hair and slammed me against a wall. I saw Dad Stomp up the stairs to Mom's room, I don't remember anything after that..and i prolly don't want to.

Chapter Two-
Morgan and i Packed our bags today, we don't know where we're going, but we know we have to get out of here.
i fel really bad about leaving my mom, but she won't leave.
she wan'ts to stay there so dad won't come after us.

I'm sitting under a bridge writing this, Morgan & I are going to take a bus to the country, & then from there try and find our grandparents farm.
it's the only place we can think of going.
The air is cool, and there are storm clouds on the horizon, i better go before it pours.
I will write more once i am on the bus and such.
